The dictionary of obscure sorrows applies short little word packages to complex and obscure situations in life, one of the most relevant and interesting being “sonder”, defined as: Life is often demonstrated in its most complex and dynamic when we consider the stories and complicated lives of people all around us. “Protagonist Syndrome” often causes us, as humans, to feel as though we are central characters in the story of life, and the people we see on the street or even our close friends and relatives are just side characters with one dimensional intentions. “That guy in the line for coffee who took so long, well, he was intentionally just trying to annoy you”.
